BIG LOVE & New Earth Consciousness
"The title of last month's OASIS Gathering was called "Raising Consciousness". Briefly, what does that phrase mean to you and its context to our new earth and conscious living?"
Louis Bourgeois: BIG LOVE is a phrase I use to describe the energetic principle that awakens, enlivens, and inspires us. When we are filled with appreciation, and even more when we are filled with enthusiasm, we are filled with BIG LOVE.
Because I was profoundly influenced by the presence and teaching of Eckhart Tolle, and because the joined effort of Eckhart Tolle and Oprah Winfrey and the "webinar" based on Tolle's book, A New Earth, it seemed that riding this wave of energy and languaging was a good way to go with my life's work, and our joined efforts under the banner of the OASIS Center for Conscious Living.
So in a nutshell the way we language this trio of terms is this: BIG LOVE is the energy that awakens and inspired new earth consciousness. New earth consciousness is the foundation for conscious living.

So the term you are using, "raising consciousness," really has everything to do with allowing the energy of BIG LOVE to awaken and inspire you. You don't raise your own consciousness, and many make the mistake on the "spiritual path" that this process is one of self-improvement and accomplishment. Eckhart was very clear in his gatherings when he would say that this awakening was a process of "self diminishment."
What this really means is simply that we shift our focus, our sense of identity, from being "self-centered" to seeing ourselves as a portal or vortex through which the creative energetic principle of the universe (BIG LOVE) expresses itself. I am not doing it; rather it is doing me. My process becomes so simply and so effortless as I surrender the controls.
This is a fundamental description of "new earth consciousness" and "conscious living." It is supposed to be fun and easy. We are truly learning to let go and enjoy the flowing, unstoppable evolutionary creative force. It will always have its way with us, and we can go along with its force, or we can resist and struggle against it.
We are in a time when this choice becomes staggering in its implication. We are in a time of great shifting and transformation. What this looks like to the consciousness attached to old forms is destruction and death. But what it looks like to one aligned with new birth is just that, and exciting new opportunity.
It is much like being pioneers in any era, when for one reason or another the group had to totally abandon its old home and set out for new lands. Imagine how exciting, to start over, new and fresh! Many people, including myself, have tried to imagine what this new land and new conscious living would look like. It's actually counterproductive, for the most part, as our minds are generally so conditioned by the old forms that to look too far into the new form would necessarily generate fear.
Clean up your affairs, and do your best to dissolve your past. Holding onto the past will make your passage more difficult and for many impossible. Be open to discovery, as a radically new world awaits those who have the courage to become whole, happy, and most importantly, free. And remember this, that you are not making this passage alone. There are many of us already on "the other side," already living in this new earth consciousness, and here to help you with your transition. This cocoon of BIG LOVE is everywhere, embracing everyone, whispering into your soul, YES! You, too, can become the butterfly you were born to be!
Plan to host a celebration on the night of the Spring Equinox full moon, March 19th. By joining together with groups all over the world, in the spirit of total acceptance, appreciation, and enthusiasm for the changes that will continue to accelerate, you will do more to serve your own process and our collective process than you could ever realize. March 9 begins the final era of the Mayan Calendar, the Cosmic Era, a period of only 8 months, in which as much change will come to the world and to humanity as has previously come in all of our history. We want to usher in this time with a party!!!
Remember that the epicenter of this transformation is right inside your center, pulsing with every heartbeat, flowing with every breath!
