As we move steadily forward in our collective evolution of consciousness individuals are called into a process that I am calling "cocooning." This process has as its purpose the birthing of the "new earth" consciousness.
What is this new earth consciousness? It is the awareness of the energy body as the central aspect of our being, as distinct from the physical body (tribal mind focus) and person (egoic mind focus). The energy body could also be called the light body, as light describes the universal energy as it moves from the timeless/spaceless realm (heaven) into the space/time grid (earth).
Our function as energy beings is to serve as the portal through which this divine energetic principle (formerly called god or spirit) manifests into the world of form. The steps to the fulfillment of this function are threefold:
1. Recognizing this function (acceptance)
2. Seeing all events/circumstances/relationships as opportunities (appreciation)
3. Functioning as the conduit/portal/channel for creativity/love (enthusiasm)
In the condition of cocooning, each individual who is prepared to enter this "new earth" or the kingdom of heaven on earth releases the old conditioning, old forms, associations and attachments. The caterpillar (human) is ready to becoming the butterfly (awakened energy being). The releasing of the old forms we call "conscious dying."
The most literal way to describe this process is a dropping of the past. In conscious dying it is not dropped awkwardly, as in Alzheimer's or physical death. It is dropped eloquently, with great appreciation and blessing. It isn't erased but "translated," as in the line from A Course in Miracles: "the end of the world is not its destruction but its translation into heaven."
How is one to translate his/her life/past into heaven? This is accomplished when everything, without exception, is seen as serving the singular purpose of the awakened consciousness. The "one thing" is seen, a radiant light of truth, running through each and every event in one's life.
To this end The OASIS Center for Conscious Living offers a guided "self-study" program. This program involves a series of lessons and exercises culminating in the writing, if you so choose, to write your "life story" from the "enlightened" perspective, where you see that every event, circumstance and relationship was in some way supporting the process of awakening, either for yourself or the greater whole. Beyond this personal memoir writing process, a variety of guidance and support are offered in the cocooning phase of the individual's development/preparation for new earth living. On March 19th in Costa Rica, I have invited Don McDougal and others who would join in leadership to create a circle of local teachers, healers, musicians, organic farmers, sustainable living proponents, and all celebrators of "new earth" consciousness. This afternoon gathering would come together to acknowledge and celebrate what we truly share, beyond the seeming differences that separate us..how we are each part of the evolution of consciousness and our collective awakening into Oneness.
I would love to have representatives from all of the fincas, intentional communities, spiritual groups, etc. come to this "playshop." We would ask only for a $10-20 donation as a "facility fee" to cover the costs of renting Hotel Angelus for the night. Sun Dancing with the Moon
The night of March 19th marks a vital time in our collective evolution. It is the full moon just before the Spring Equinox. It follows the March 9 beginning of the final era, the Cosmic Underworld, of the Mayan Calendar. This era, a compressed 8-month period, promises to be a time of unimaginable energetic shifting, an acceleration speeding us toward our collective awakening and transformation. Both the Mayan and Hopi elders predict huge changes on all levels by the end of 2011. Our preparation begins with this welcoming celebration. We want to remove all resistance, all fear, release our attachments to old forms, that we might fully participate and enJOY this final stage of our current evolutionary stage.
Sun Dancing with the Moon is a phrase I have used (the name of one of my books) to describe the collapsing of time, the ending of duality, the emergence of the Oneness out of which all duality arose. Whether Christian, Buddhist, Sufi, Taoist, pagan, Moslem, Jewish, Mayan, or any other organized religion or philosophy, we are all playing out the same simple story. Out of Oneness expanded our universe of form, a dance in time and space, and now this diversity is quickly contracting back into Oneness. A cycle, perhaps 26,000 years long, perhaps millions of years old, is coming to a close, a conscious dying which will yield to a new birthing. To let go the past it must be blessed. Sun Dancing with the Moon is a way to ritually celebrate and bless our human experience, our world of duality, darkness and light, masculine and feminine, etc.
It is part of the practice of new earth living that we develop a new language that aligns with the new consciousness. This new language is in its infancy, and will be a collective development. It is my prayer that this gathering will mark several things. The first of course is this welcoming energy for the changes that 2011 promise to bring. Groups all around the globe will be celebrating on this same night. OASIS Center for Conscious Living is aligning with several other organizations throughout the world. And on the level of personal intention I invite each one of you who hears this call from wherever you are on planet earth to consider this marker, March 19th, as a powerful catalyst for your personal expression. We are each called to step forward as powerful creators, aligned with Oneness, to birth ourselves fully into our "butterfly" state as "light beings." We are being called to step across a portal. This portal in being called "the new earth" or "new earth consciousness." even though we might use different language, language being but symbols, we are truly talking about the same thing..and the common element is celebration!!
As you can see, there are many ways to plug into your own cocooning process of rebirth and becoming whole, happy and freeeeee!!
